Copper (II) sulfate

(Crystal)

Other Names:
Blue vitriol. Cupric sulfate. Blue stone. Sulfur copper
IUPAC Name:
Copper (II) sulfate

General Introduction of Copper Sulfate:

Copper sulfate is a branch of sulfate salts which is shown by CuSO4 or CuO4S formula and is produced as a mineral processing and by various chemical methods, which is in the form of a compound salt from copper sulfate with different crystallization waters, and its appearance is grey and green crystals and its most common type is pentahydrate crystal in blue. All these salts contain special and different properties, for example its pentahydrate type dissolves easily in water and generates high heat, the level of solution and heat generation is different in other types of this salt.
It is one of the special fertilizers for some cooper dependent plants and it controls the soil acidity to some extent and it is also used as one of the strongest pesticides.
It is a water-soluble salt and it is usually in the form of powder or blue crystal with a weak smell of copper ion and only in the result of high heat it changes the color and it may decompose.

– Instruction for Use:

Very important: generally, plants need different amount of copper sulfate fertilizer considering the amount of demand copper and soil acidity, therefore ask relevant specialists about the amount and frequency of use before using, and what that is written on the package is only the minimum amount of use and according to average consumption considering the optimal plants growth report, is collected and provided to you.

– Usage:

Generally, because of importance and difficulty of producing copper, it is mostly used in chemical industries and plating industries, and agricultural industries uses cooper as a multi-purpose fertilizer.

  • Agricultural Industries: One of the usages of copper sulfate is as a fertilizer. This compound adjusts the soil need for copper and regulates the soil acidity.
  • Chemical Industries: It is used in producing catalysts, blue chemical colors and plating.
  • Electronic Industries: Copper sulfate is used in producing cathode copper.
  • In Tile and Glass Industries: Copper sulfate is used as color and one of the stabilizer compounds in producing tile and some glasses.
  • In Mineral Industries: Copper sulfate is widely used in mineral processing and identification units.

– Maintenance:

Keep in dry and cool place, out of interaction with other chemical materials such as acids and corrosive substances.
Consume up to two years after production.

Warnings:

  • Avoid taking the material orally, in the case of swallow seek medical advice as soon as possible.
  • In the case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice as soon as possible.
