General Introduction of Sodium Chloride:
– Usage:
- In Food Industries: For thousands of years it has been used in various countries as one of the first flavors in food and has a high value in human food basket and also it is used as a food preservation in salt down method and ultimately it is one of the basic materials for producing sodium carbonate.
- In Road Construction: It is used as an antifreeze and friction creator in the time of frosty weather.
In Medicine: They use a certain amount of water-soluble salt as a regulator and stimulator of blood pressure and in emergency cases it is used for sterilizing the equipment or the place. - In Laboratory: It is used as an intermediate substance or in the process of lightening saline water.
– Maintenance:
Keep in dry and cool place, out of interaction with other chemical materials such as acids and corrosive substances.
Do not expose to sunlight and direct heat due to decomposition and producing chlorine gas and ammonia gas.
Consume up to two years after production.
Warnings:
- Avoid eating large amount of cooking salt because it increases the blood pressure.
- Avoid mixing with acidic or corrosive chemical materials due to the possibility of making acidic gases or corrosive salts.
- Prevent water or steam from reaching the product.
